[ ooc ] history!
Hikaru's history began when she was born to a doctor for a mother and a salaryman for a father, both of which who loved their jobs. Her birth would be joined by three sisters and one brother on the way, all of which were happy and well taken care of. The Takeda family was known to support the effort to combat the Gnocem, and so, since Hikaru was the eldest, she was selected to go in to the Protector program at the age of five. It was found out that the younger someone was, the better chances were that they'd have a complete understanding on their powers, which was ideal.
At first, Hikaru was pretty awful at keeping up with the training she was given. She would have low marks on her tests and perform quite badly at things, which was pretty common for new recruits. However, it seemed like the training wasn't working, even though Hikaru was trying her best to keep up with everyone else who was competing for a Protector spot. Eventually, she was told that she'd have to shape up or go home like the failure she was turning out to be. It was here that Hikaru wanted to quit, but her friends that she made through the program convinced her to not give up on her dream as they wanted to see her be a successful Protector.
Those involved were impressed at the results and had an idea who would be the next Protector. Thus, Hikaru graduated with top marks and was given the name Protector Vita during high school. She was soon sent on missions to defeat the Gnocem as well as give the PIPE any leads into what could be causing the Gnocem's erratic behavior. Along the way, it was discovered that if Hikaru used the specialized bullets she was given, the Gnocem could be reverted to who they used to be. This was a brilliant discovery for the PIPE as it would help bolster their own defenses and be able to get any sort of intel needed to combat the Gnocem.
To go along with her duty as Protector Vita, Hikaru was balancing the duty of being a student, too. She managed to graduate with honors at her high school and was able to dedicate more of her time to being a police officer. Along with this, she took up a job at a local cafe to pay her debt back to the PIPE since she wanted to show that she wasn't handed everything she wanted because she was a Protector.
As Hikaru got used to her life as it was right now and taking down the Gnocem to protect the world, she was soon sent out on a special mission against a lesser General of the Gnocem army. His name was General Dolorus and as Hikaru and him got into blows, it was evident that she was going to end up losing if this farce continued. Unfortunately, her stubbornness got in the way and caused her to break her transformation while she would be left in the hands of Dolorus and his army. Thankfully, Hikaru was able to escape from him by a covert group of people working for the PIPE and was brought back to the city to recover. Hikaru spent a few days out cold, but when she was awake, the PIPE thanked their lucky stars that she was able to recover. The Gnocem were being dealt with for now, but it was clear to Hikaru that she would have to go back to the front lines. Interestingly enough, Hikaru was told that it was her friends from grade school who ended up saving the Protector. She was elated to hear this and did what she could to thank them.
When Hikaru was fully recovered, she went back to fight General Dolorus as she knew he'd have to be dealt with. It was an arduous battle between the two of them, although throughout it, Hikaru was able to overpower him due to a new power awakening in her: her second form as Unyielding Protector Vita. With this, she was able to defeat General Dolorus once and for all, although detained when he initially refused to be compliant to the PIPE's wishes. The form provided an immense benefit to her and it was a development that the PIPE wasn't prepared for. She tested it out in their headquarters and eventually, it was approved for her usage.
As she was working through the first year of her job, Hikaru had a feeling that her next battle against the Gnocem would be significantly harder. She would be right with this as she'd be facing even stronger Gnocem, the Geo-Gnocem. The Geo-Gnocem proved challenging to Hikaru because while she could deal with their height, it was their strength that was another issue. She would get flung in to walls repeatedly and be cut up by their halberds. This tested her will to go on and survive as the Geo-Gnocem would do nothing but gloat at her. With a few close calls, Hikaru was able to outsmart and survive the onslaught to where she could defeat them. However, it required an even stronger bullet that was in the experimental stages of testing. The PIPE didn't want to take their chances and allowed her to use it, but the kickback of using such a powerful item was awful. At first, Hikaru would end up being thrown on her back, but eventually managed to withstand the effect.
The next challenge Hikaru would face would be General Morseus, a much tougher opponent than Dolorus was by far. Even though Hikaru could match him power-wise, it was his speed that was another challenge. No matter how many tries Hikaru gave against his speed, he would always outlast her to the point of exhausting her System as well as herself. Hikaru wasn't sure how she would overcome this obstacle, but was determined enough to see it through. When she met back up with General Morseus several days later, the two of them exchanged blows yet again, but this time Hikaru could outwit her opponent. Where she lacked in speed, she could manipulate him long enough to where she would be able to activate her second power up: Swift Protector Vita. This form granted her immeasurable speed, enough to where she could defeat Morseus and revert him back in to who he was before. He, along with Dolorus, was detained and Hikaru finally felt like maybe she could rest for a bit.
However, one day, Hikaru received a message that her next few fights against the Gnocem army wouldn't be as easy as fighting Dolorus and Morseus were. There wasn't any information beyond the name, General and Leader of the Gnocem Army Sanguinis. Unlike the last two times where Hikaru was unsure of herself, she knew that this had to be done and that there was no more second guessing herself. She wanted to save not only Earth, but the Gnocem themselves. Even if it meant laying down her life in the process, a term she was prepared to deal with.
When the big battle commenced, General Sanguinis pulled out all the stops against the lone Traveler. However, she really wasn't alone as she had the entirety of Earth, PIPE and her friends backing her up. He brought not just Gnocem mooks, but also Geo-Gnocem and a few lesser Generals for her to deal with as it was their stand against humanity. Hikaru fought for a long time against the terrific army, purifying each of them as she went along. For the Geo-Gnocem, she preferred to take them all down in one big swoop so that she wouldn't have to handle them beating on her repeatedly. The Generals gave her a bigger problem as each of them required her to think on her feet and individualize a way to deal with each of them.
